Experience The Healing Power of Art
Discover your truth as you immerse yourself in the arts.
Session 1. Playback Theatre
Participants have the opportunity to engage in improvisational theatre by enacting the poem Childhood.
Representing the poem as a dramatic piece encourages a sense of playfulness and flexibility and aids in self-development. The creative spirit is awakened through the process, and personal stories are brought to life which have a therapeutic effect.
Share this group experience and create a sense of unity.
Session 2. Gratitude Board
Creating an artistic visual display of the things in life you are grateful for will have a positive effect on your life. Start with the simplest things that you take for granted (ie: a fridge with food, running water).
Alter your mindset and experience joy as you attract more abundance in your life.
Session 3. Earth Elements
Rudolf Steiner divided the consonants of the alphabet into the four elements: earth, air, water, fire.
As a group, you will practice the sounding out of the earth consonants. Working in smaller groups, participants will create movement and use their voices to enact poetry utilizing these sound patterns. Groups will present their skits.
Build your confidence and enhance your presentation skills.
Session 4. Colouring of Mandalas
Colouring the intricate patterns of meditative mandalas has been proven to relieve stress and anxiety. It focusses the mind on the activity and aids in meditation. It relaxes your body and is known to have healing powers.
